Yama Sushi

Overview:

Yama Sushi is a Japanese restaurant located at Adams Shoppes in Mars PA. They offer a variety of Japanese dishes including udon, tonkatsu, tempura, and sushi. Yama Sushi also has different boba drinks and appetizers.

The Food:

I enjoyed the food I ordered at Yama Sushi during my visit. First I ordered a boba tea drink that had tapioca pearls in it. The flavor I ordered was matcha however I believe they gave me a jasmine tea flavored drink. This was ok as the drink I ended up getting was very good. For the table, we got edamame beans which are always a delicious snack while you wait for your food. Additionally, my entrée came with a Japanese side salad with a fresh ginger dressing. For my main dish I got the maki combination. This included 4, 6 piece rolls of yellowtail, tuna, salmon, and cucumber. I normally do not talk about prices but the maki combination was only $20 for 24 pieces of sushi. This made for a great value dinner and the quality of fish was amazing!

Service:

The waiter we had during our visit was nice and came back to check if we needed anything. My only complaint was the food took a little longer than usual to come out. They were busy but my main entrée was sushi which comes from the sushi bar. 

Atmosphere:

The inside of Yama Sushi was modestly decorated with a Japanese style. There are wood floors and wood booth walls. Overall, the inside is nothing too special and the restaurant itself is on the smaller side.

Yama Sushi is a good option if you live in Cranberry or Adams Township and are looking for tasty sushi or Japanese food. Their menu is extensive which will make it so everyone can find something they want. The restaurant also does takeout which makes it convenient if you want to take it home or eat outside at a park somewhere. My only complaints are the service was slow and they gave me the wrong boba tea.
