Overview:

Ross Café is Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant situated on the busy McKnight Rd corridor next to Jiffy Lube. They have an extensive menu that includes traditional Turkish fare, American breakfast, Mediterranean food, and even pizza! I went for breakfast and was able to try both the Turkish and American breakfast items.

The Food:

My meal at Ross Café was amazing! We started off with sigara boregi for our appetizer. It is fried and rolled dough stuffed with cheese and parsley. For our entrees, we had the vegetarian omelette and the menemen (sunrise scramble). The omelette was packed full of spinach, cheese, and other veggies. The menemen I ordered is a Turkish dish that consists of eggs and veggies scrambled together in a consistency that reminded me of scrambled eggs. We were also given a Turkish-style bread to eat along with our meal. Additionally, the Turkish coffee was sweet, strong and fresh and reminded me of espresso. 

Service:

Our server at Ross Cafe was very friendly. She let us take our time to review the menu as it was our first time going. The food came out in correct and successive order and everything was fresh.

Atmosphere:

Ross Café has a quaint comforting vibe when you go in to have a meal. There is nice artwork on the wall but the table decorations are subtle and clean. It is not loud inside with most of the noise coming from the sound of food being cooked. There is a counter at the back for takeout orders and plenty of tables inside for dine-in eating.

Ross Café is a great addition to the many restaurants on McKnight Rd. It offers unique Turkish cuisine while still offering traditional American diner food and pizza. They have friendly staff, a nice eating atmosphere, and even offer takeout. If you want to expand your palette and try something new, Ross Café is definitely a place to try!
