The Food:

I ordered the Salmon Gone Wild Bowl, which was delicious and fresh. The salmon was tender and juicy, and the ponzu sauce added a nice tanginess. The toppings were crunchy, spicy, and refreshing. My family member got the Hawaiian Pulled Pork Bowl, which was okay, but not great. The pork was dry and lacked flavor. It was braised with pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar, but it didn’t seem to absorb the marinade well. The toppings were good, but not enough to save the dish. They included grilled pineapple, edamame, scallion, cucumber, carrot, jalapeno, and miso ginger dressing. We both liked that we could customize our own bowls and choose from a variety of ingredients. They had vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options as well.

Service:

The service at Anchor & Eat Poke was friendly and quick. I ordered online and got takeout, and I only had to wait a few minutes for them to finish up my order. I arrived a bit early, but they were already working on it. The guy making my food was nice and greeted me when I came in. He also thanked me for my order and was very courteous. I appreciated his professionalism and kindness.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere at Anchor & Eat Poke was cozy and inviting. The inside was smaller, but the colors were nice and bright. There was a mural of Hawaii on the wall that made me feel like I was on vacation. The kitchen was open, so I could watch them make my bowl fresh right in front of me. They also had some tables to eat at, or I could take my food to go. I liked the casual and friendly vibe of the place.
