Hoshi Hibachi

Hoshi Hibachi

Overview:

Hoshi Hibachi Food Truck is a great spot in Pittsburgh for quick, tasty Japanese hibachi. They have a small menu that is made to order and fresh. It’s a casual and convenient option that’s perfect for grabbing a flavorful meal on the go. I found them at the Leaning Cask Brewery in Springdale.

The Menu:

Each hibachi dish comes with white rice, vegetables, protein, and a side of yum yum and steak sauce. I had the shrimp hibachi, and it was excellent—the shrimp was cooked just right. The rest of my group tried the steak, tofu, and chicken, and everyone seemed happy with their meals. We also appreciated that the dishes weren’t overly salty or drenched in butter like some hibachi meals can be, which made it even better.

Service:

The guy’s running the truck were cool and took my order right away. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes after ordering I was able to watch them cook the last part of the order and it was cool to see everything prepared right in the truck on the grill.

Atmosphere:

The food truck was parked right outside Leaning Cask Brewery, which was a great spot. It was nice to enjoy a good beer inside while eating delicious hibachi.
